No, atheism is not a new concept, it's been around since man first invented gods.

We(I) do not follow the teachings of someone else, that's for you guys. I do not subscribe to the intellectually stunting beliefs of any organized religion, I merely incorporate good ideas into my personal creed whenever I come across them.

It's not that we (or at least I) think life is meaningless. There's a biological purpose for being born, and for living.. the continuation of the species. But there's more than that. Being atheist means I place my accomplishments, goals, wants, desires, and needs as a reason for living, not as a side effect of living, or a means to keep on living (hence meaninglessly). Beyond speciation, I have no PURPOSE for living, but in living, I find/make purpose, and those purposes make life meaningful.

No one's right and no one's wrong in the battle of religion. I, personally, believe that all of our lives have meaning. It's just different for everyone. An afterlife gives a religious person, not just Christians, a purpose for living. Those who don't believe in a deity or deities just live for the moment. As long as you're not hurting anyone, it's all good in the hood.

I beleive in God out of Ignorance, Ignorance of what lies after Death if God doesn't Exist and that freaks me out.

I don't have nothing agianst other people, mainly because everywhere you look you are being force fed Racism, Sexism and Distrimnation, and I broke out of that Chains through the help of a very smart teacher. Only if people would make judges on people's characteristics than anything else.

No i believe you misjudge the situation. Soupthemighty seems to be an atheist himself or at least to understand that an atheist DOES see meaning in his life. I personally like this video and think that he makes his point: Atheists have something to live for and in most aspects, we can enjoy life more than people indoctrinated with religion.
