  • Mr. Phillips had before him the next Elvis and having identified that prodigious talent as a potential source of incredible amounts of money, Mr. Phillips tried to convince The Killer that he could save souls with Rock n' Roll. The love of filthy lucre is a profound motivation.

I hope Mr. Phillips and Jerry Lee Lewis both repent while they still have time; and if y'all do not want The Killer to repent, ask your own self why you love rock 'n roll more than The Killer's soul.

  • Jerry sounds very confused.

  • It's hard to tell if Jerry Lee is listening to Phillips or not, but very interesting to hear. Thanks for putting this up!

  • Fantastic! Thx a lot!

it is transcribed, by Stanley Booth, in a book on the Rolling Stones.

  • Did he just say I have the devil in me? Now that great balls of fire song makes sense

  • I have this on a cd! ; )

  • i read about this in a book on the rolling stones by stanley booth, then it was avaliable MANY YEARS LATER on this underground comp cd, now I have this book which tells this is also from a bootleg sun records comp with elvis, jerry lee lewis, billy lee riley, warren smith & sam phillips

  • OH666-rpk...Seems to me your own conflict has been projected & deflected onto & away from irresponsible lacking.I strongly suggest a career in fiction or college gossip.BTW,anyone who does a book report on the subject has allready failed at life.

  • yeah
