Dads are a pain in the ass! Mine keeps bitchin on at me to fly him to the Dignitas clinic in Switzerland so he can die & “not be a burden”.

Yeh, like what he really wants is the satisfaction of looking up from Hell (no way he’s going up to the other place) & laughing at my ass in PRISON as I do a 10yr bid for some BS manslaughter charge. I told him NO WAY! He can sit in his excrement-stained chair for the next 20yrs & rot into his grave instead.

One of the BEST episodes ever that hasn`t been released yet as of this date(9/16/11). It originally aired Oct. 25,1962- Season 5, Episode 6. I can`t wait until it`s realeased. One of the most touching episodes ever on TV. In the episode, Jeff`s dad, Alex never had time for him and they had had a little tiff. Hopefully Season 5 of The Donna Reed Show will be out on DVD soon. Thanks for posting!

The younger generation needs to hear the message in this great song. I lost my Dad six years ago and will always miss him (you only get one Dad, in this world). Life is short, very short! I thought Paul was great on THE DONNA REED SHOW; just so natural and unaffected. And Carl Betz was like an IDEAL dad: they had great chemistry together and I believe that both were underrated performers. Betz won an Emmy for JUDD FOR THE DEFENSE.
