Also, FYI, those bombers are strategic assets and if they were shot down, unarmed, and like i mentioned in internation airspace, well... this would inevitably result in a nuclear confrontation.
No-one would win, especially not the US, as it's got more to lose (the precious lifestyle, Russia's barely getting itself together after the wild 90's).

Dude, listen. they didn't fly into US airspace, they were still in INTER-NATIONAL airspace.
What happened was the media just hyping it up to get a hit story (plus the usual political bullshit).
They got escorted because that's what happens in such exercises - Russian bomber pilots train attack missions, US fighter pilots keep an eye on the Russians, and also train for intercept missions. It's perfect.

I dont see why both my countryies America and Russia keep feeling threatened about each other. China threatens both America and Russia al the time but no one seems to care. America and Russia should keep their eye on China, not each other.

america needs to start making things here at home and stop wasteing our money on chinese made and mexican made junk the things from china are made with dangerous chemicals and as for made in mexico the factories are moving to mexico and putting alot of americans out of an job and it is junk when it is made there
