In the late 1980's, the DJs would often play this song at the end of the night in order to clear the bar. It generally worked, except for a small group of us that would actually dance to this track. Cuz we loved those Belgian Waffles!

It's actually an english translation from a late Willhelm Goethe poem entitled "Großmutter und ich mit Waffeln spielen"
You can tell it's German because of the historical discussion of fecal play.
