Mark Heard 1951 - 1992
Fingerprint is the title of an album by Mark Heard, released in Europe, in 1980 on Palmfrond Communications.

Heard would later name his record label, Fingerprint Records, and home studio, Fingerprint Recorders, after this album. Fingerprint Records is an independent record label formed in 1990 by Mark Heard and Dan Russell.

The label went on to release not only Heard's albums, but also albums by The Call, The Vigilantes of Love, Ramona Silver, bob., as well as two tribute albums to Heard after his death in 1992.

Heard also owned a studio, which he called Fingerprint Recorders.

Mark Heard was awesomely gifted. I think the Apalachean Melody albumn was my favorite but i really can't think of a song he did that i did'nt like.

Great vid and song. I don't remember this song by Mark, but am truly a fan. I'm not sure if I have this record. I have his first album - him sitting on a rocking chair. I liked everything he put out and do miss him and his music. Look forward to meeting him again in that glorious time to come! Be blessed and thanks for the add. :)

Thanks for posting this. I don't have enough of Mark Heard's early material. It's hard to say enough about his music. He is sorely missed and greatly admired.
