Winds up to 40 mph caused wide spread damage to docks and boats and shoreline on Flathead Lake, Saturday October 3, 2009. This video was taken on the west side of the lake, seven miles south of Lakeside. The island in the video is Mary B.

Thank you for posting this! My gma was born on the bay across from here and I think I spent many summers just a few houses down from here off White Swan R. LOVE the waves!! and makes me feel like I'm there :)

I remember that day well...the lake went from millpond to wild in less than an hour.

I grew up on Flathead and have seen many storms like this. The power of the lake is pretty amazing! To bad for the docks but those waves were spectacular.
