Why are people complaining about the dubbing? Aside from the weird voices they've used, you should all be thrilled that the non-English-speaking Germans can now enjoy it too.

Friends ist die beste serie die jemals produziert wurde, leider ist die synchronisation nicht so gut aber wer die dvds hat kann sichs ja auf englisch ansehen! ich gebe die hoffnung nicht auf, dass irgendwann ein film gemacht wird!

I think they dubb it for better understanding, but I share your opinion. The most sitcoms, especially in the 90's are dubbed ridiculous. I don't know why they do it in such a way, but u can call it "voice-raping". (for example: how i met your mother is well dubbed, i watched it in both languages and both sound fine). btw it's just the sitcoms dubbed so shitty, 99% of the films are dubbed very well, except of some translation-mistakes (annoying in comedies).
