They are paddle sifters for a CVT.

I own a 2011 Legacy 2.5 Limited. I agree with every comment he made. Quite surprised by how close my review would match his......

Personally, I liked the Legacy, especially the AWD system, but I also like the Camry, it rides great, I think it's an excellent comfortable sedan. but I flat out hated the Accord it rides funny and has poor handling. This reviewer is too biased though people like different things, I hate it when people think everyone should like what they like, and do what they do.

Although this Subaru only has 170 stock horsepower; the paddle shifters are useful when you put the subaru to its real test, and that is in the mountain roads doubling the speed limit signs and grinning the whole time.

This has to be one of the worst reviews on such a cool car.
I was hopping to see under the hood and specs like mpg.
Engagement fail if you ask me.

I'd rather have the Camry or Accord.

Used to work @ a dealership back in 2001 and I had the pleasure as I like to refer to it to drive an older model (bak then it wasn't that old) and it was such a JOY to drive it. Fun to drive, simple, etc.
I'd give it a chance N to the best of my knowledge it has good quality and durability. GIVE IT A CHANE. FIND OUT ON OUR OWN INSTEAD OF LISTENING TO GOSSIP OR BELIEVING MAGAZINES.
I did NOT work for a Subaru dealership; it had just come off a lease. Used to drive bunch of different cars.

The paddle shifters are useful when overtaking or climbing a mountain. I know you can do that with the lever too but paddle shifters will be more convenient in this age, where most people are not used to rowing their own gears.

The review sucked (just like the paddle shifters on the legacy) but the car is quite interesing n the man did have a point about the blandness n boring rep of the usual suspects in this segment accord camry (altima) etc...
This wasn't much a review as much of a commercial
