Good version, some versions strayed so far from the original as to make the song almost unrecognizable. I have yet to hear a live cut, where they played the instruments like the studio take. But this is the closest so far.

I love this version. The album is great but there is nothing like LIVE!!! I miss these guys!! What a great time and era in our lives.

@MartinWSchumacher the hell he wasn't! I've seen video of Vince with PPL on here!!! Are you HIGH?

One of my all-time favorite songs! Love this live version! Reminds me of summers in high school...most of my friends liked the hard rock, but I was (and am) a country rocker...long live the Eagles, Poco, and Pure Prarie League!

Cool!! I wonder whatever happened to my copy of this LP.
Funny, I'm Jonesing for Pure Prairie this morning, and I find a very nice cover of In & Out Of Love/Amie by a couple of Brits, but there on the other versions is one by Lita Ford.....from The Runaways??

hahaha i was named after this song

Great song.... isn't this one from the "Live - Takin the Stage" record? I seem to recall this version...their best, in my opinion...

@OregonTracker - Yes, this is from the hard to find “Live: Taken the Stage“. There’s a similar version on the 10 song “Live!: Extended Versions” cd available for a fraction of the cost.

from cincinnati, know the Goshorns personally for years - my age 56 - Vince Gill was never close to being in Pure Prairie League - funny thought though :-) kinda? :-)

@MartinWSchumacher _ PPL’s highest charting song “Let me love you tonight” released in 1980, was sung by Vince Gill. At the time none of the original band members where in the band.
