I agree, but that's not my point realy :) My point is, in the WHF system core troops have to be used different, as you suggested say, because the system is geared up towards characters & elites. This is find as that's what its gamers want out of it. However, if a system steps out side of reality, odd looking things will happy which otherwise wouldn't happy in other more realist ones. So pieces have to be used different in WHF, though I prefer a more level playing field for all pieces in games :)

core does alot more then u think they r pawns as such they hav the abilty 2b cheap n hav lots of models n tarpit n hold a unit up while ur elite/rare choices can flank charge n crush them. Granted a unit of 80slaves dont hav a chance in hell of winnin combat vs 4skullcrushers but it will take those skullcrushers atleast 3rounds of combat 2 kill them by that time u should b able 2 flank them with a unit that can kill them. Simply im gonna throw sum paper at his scissors then smack him with a rock

now that you're playing warmachine, would you not say that warmachine is more akin to chess than wfb?

I think WHF is a good game, but different from must pitched battle games as it is a top heavy system. I mean by this, characters & elite troops tend 2 do all the work, whereas core troops seem less effective. This is worth thinking about when you charge elite troops with softer core ones in their sides or rear, as you can often loose more combat points than you win. So when you play this game, you must to be mindful that what might be tactically sound in one game, might not be sound in this one.

If you dont have good rules and armies knowledge (intimate knowledge of your own army's rules as well as your enemy's) you will almost never win against a good player WHO HOLDS THIS KNOWLEDGE.

40k is more of a gunline game where probabilities matter more, maybe even geometry with the template guns. 40k metagame is more important also

In Fantasy movement&concentration are more important than in 40k, you could kill even the biggest infantry unit with a single flank charging cavalry unit.

    indeed wel spoken.

one thing that i didn't like was that you basicly saying that one mistacke WILL cost you the game. while a mistake can make it harder for you if you play your hand right you may still win.

cant wait till your next vid ;)
