try to get out of this mindset. contrary to popular belief, the term "alto" designated to a female singer is only relevant to the line she sings in a choral setting. There are very few true contralto soloists in the world. The vast majority of female singers are coloratura sopranos or mezzo sopranos. Within these two ranges are further distinctions like lyrical, dramatic, and Wagnerian. Happy singing!

elle chante bien on dirait gabriel fauré mais en femme

@musicisme4evr Don't you mean "enunciation"?...
-
@malibu64 Incorrect... coloratura is a subset of soprano, just as lyric and dramatic are. True coloratura sopranos are uncommon - lyric sopranos are, by contrast, a dime a dozen.

@musicisme4evr She IS french...

Absolutely amazing. the diction is on point, annunciation is perfect, and the accent used for the french is amazing. I love it.

the title could be meant as a pun : au bordello, like DuChamp's LHOOQ

@malibu64 thank you for your help definng these confusing terms :)

You guys must look up Elizabeth Choat singing this song =)
My major is French and I love music, so, I think it's a great class. Just a bit tedious at times.

Did you like this music though? I suggest you look for Apres Un Reve, it's the best song in my opinion, and Gens is the best singer :)

Well, I signed up for the class thinking it would help me with my French pronunciation. However, I didn't know that it was mostly for those already well versed in music.

To me it sounds like a great class! But not if you are not a singer or a fan of french melodies (=
