This is a really simple but effective idea, awesome!
I only have one question: does the lower part (so the effective cutting surface) get enough lubrication too? The movement of the saw blade is faster than the drop rate of the oiler. Can the oil get to the teeth before biting into the material?
If not, just lower the tubing a bit so the oil reaches the teeth faster?

It's not a problem--the oil tends to get smeared onto the blade as it enters the cut., but it certainly wouldn't hurt anything to extend the drip tube closer to the teeth.

Very nice! Do you know of a way to add brushed to the guides to clean out the blade or do you find that it is not nesicary? I just bought mine today and I saw the larger bandsaw had them but the smaller did not.

I mounted a pair of old toothbrushes (with the handles cut off) to straddle the blade, just in front of the second set of blade guides.
