DVD available on www.greenplanetfilms.org. "French Fries" is the story about a guy, his truck and a bunch of used vegetable oil. This funny and inspiring piece follows Charris Ford, "The Granola Ayatollah of Canola" as he makes the rounds in his veggie fuel powered rig. This film is very timely and unlike many environmental films, really makes you laugh. With Daryl Hannah, Dennis Weaver and internationally renowned Physician, Doctor Andrew Wiel.
@immrlizard Well yeah but who the hell is going to be monitoring where you get your fuel from.

This is such a crock! Not because it does not work (cuz it does) but because if a lot of people would start using used vegetable oil, the price would skyrocket. not to mention the impact on other crops and therefore food prices. Just like with ethanol. Price wise, not very feasible. Solar and HYDROGEN that's where's at.

Make sure it is legal in your area to do this before you do it. In NC you can be charged with tax evasion if you don't apply for a permit and pay the tax up front. They tax fuel to build roads.

You are right, but Charris & others in this movie are using veggie oil recycled from local restaurants, utilizing a resource that would otherwise be going to waste.

Canola/Soybean aren't environmentally "green".
Entirely the opposite.
