In 1983 British children's TV show Blue Peter had its garden vandalised. It shouldn't have been funny, but it was. Very funny. The reaction of the presenters was comparable to the announcement of a celebrity death. The only real deaths were some fish, a sundial, and a lovely ornamental urn.
