Here is what the inside of the two new FDNY fire boats looks like! We tour the engine room, command center and pilot house. There are also some other rooms on the boat not shown in the video, including a mess.

Powered by four 2000 hp MTU Series 4000 12 cylinder engines
Four variable pitch props
Four FFS fire pumps rated at 12500 gallons per minute

Built by Eastern Shipbuilding Group
Panama City FL 850-522-7400

  • @guitar4meandu own crew dedicated to that vessel. often if not in sail, they will have a station specifically for the boat in the port or where ever it is docked.

  • So I have a question. So if there's a fire call that needs this ship, is it already on sail with fire fighters on it (is it it's own branch of FDNY), or is a station dispatched and if the boat is needed do they go to the boat.

  • what an incredible ship
