  • Save natural breasts from silicon.

  • What an amazing video it makes me want to help the seals NOW!

  • Are you going to give the hunters money so they can live?

  • What a fukin dim collection of celebrities...kinda hard to take any campaign seriously when their argument consists of talking about how cute the animal is, if they told the reason why these hunts happen it would be a different thing altogether

  • JWuThe2 To clarify I'm not making that distinction re: populations. I specified a "humane" hunt;one that is scrutinized by scientists, wildlife officials and animal activists every year. The animals are not kept in cages, chained or shot full of drugs. The hunt's not pretty but that doesn't mean it's cruel. My point was that much of the animal kingdom is in trouble, seals are not, and PETAs message and methods only muddy the waters and in doing so they are doing more harm to the world than good.

It's true that it's a complex issue but the argument you're putting forth doesn't really make sense either.

Is it any less cruel to abuse animals that are plentiful? Additionally, protecting seals from abuse does not preclude the possibility of protecting endangered species. Any movement that raises awareness for animal cruelty helps all related movements.

  • There's a much larger and more complex ethical gray area around this issue than PETA would like you to believe.

In the meantime, animals go extinct at a nauseating rate all over the world while they scream themselves hoarse about a regulated, humane hunt of a free range animal that is listed at the very lowest point of the IUCN conservation status scale. It's rhetoric over reason

    Should animals be treated humanely?

    Yes.

Is PETA giving a rational, unbiased argument here? Not a chance.

  • Well done from Animal Rights Action Network (ARAN) in Ireland.

  • GO JENNIE!!!!!!!!

  • This is a great campaign and I really do hope that they make Seal Hunting illegal here is my home country Canada :)
