i have pretty much the same curl type as you! but my hair is not very voluminous and lays flatter i wish my hair would get that big in voluminous!

IMHO it still looks out of control I have similar hair and wouldn't even open the front door but I live in England and people are less open minded. Its better to put your products when the hair is less than towel dry.
