I have spent this whole sunday trying to recreate these flying titles in After Effects at home. I didn't even got close to a 10% of what this video looks like. I'm a noob and the VideoCopilot crew are GODS.

How come when i put my action essentials presets such as blood, muzzle flash, etc in the clip, in after effects. The black background is still there. When I adjust the blood layer to "screen", the black disappears but the blood layer or whatever I have becomes transparent. What do I do??
Please help!!

@InfanitPictures2010 Than you are using wrong clips, because if you put Action Essentials 2 footage in After Effects the background of a clip should be pre-matted. In AE2 you get two sets of clips, one set is low res for preview and if you import those the background is black, and the other set contains the clips that you use, the folder with those clips should have 720p or 2K in it's name.
