Eventhough I love ALL the Angels, season 4 was my favorite. I liked the classy look they gave the angels that year. I feel bad that Shelly gets so much crap about her acting. In all honesty, none of the angels at that time with MAYBE the exception of Kate and Cheryl were great actresses. I LOVE Farrah and Jaclyn but back when the show was on, they couldn't deliver a line to save their lives. Cheryl is the unsung hero of the show. She seems to embrace it the most but never gets the credit.

Shelley Hack as Tiffany Welles was my favorite angel and I can't wait for season 4 to be on DVD this summer!

She was good as an angel. I think that Shelly was too. I think that it is in YOUR opinion that Shelly was horrible. There are many like myself who feel she was a wonderful addition to the cast.  And I certainly wouldn't have called her "bad looking" but then I like women......

I totally love your screen name! I am a Nicks fan myself. SHE IS THE GYPSY PRINCESS OF R&R! But regarding your post on Shelly Hack. I disagree. I feel that is YOUR opinion which you have a right too. I stated below the reasons why Shelly got a bad rap. It was not her fault, NOR was it her acting abilities. Furthermore I agree w/ Drewbie that Cheryl has fully embraced CA's but never seems to get credit for doing so. I feel that is very sad. She has a love for the show and it is apparent

THAT IS EXACTLY CORRECT! The producers and writers did not take the time w/ her character as they had done w/ Cheryl's to make it more well suited to fit her style and acting. They were replacing the "smart angel" with the "really smart angel" (as I have heard stated) but that is about as much thought as they put into the entire idea. Angels was already slipping in ratings due to the silly scripts BEFORE Shelly Hack was added to the cast. There was nothing she could have done on her own.

That friend is your opinion. People have different styles of acting. I think that Shelly, Farrah, Jaclyn, and Tonya have all proven w/ a DECENT script they are fine actresses.......

In my opinion, you are incorrect. It was the writers who were basiclly RECYCLING old scripts and doing silly story lines that caused the viewing audience to become disenchanted with the show. I know b/c I was old enough to watch it then. I agree that Cheryl is not credited enough, but all the angels were fine additions to the cast. Again, it was the producers and writers who were to blame.

Tanya Roberts was far better of an actress than Shelley. Sorry but it's true. People's acceptance of Tanya had 2 strikes even before her first scene because audience's tolerance of Charlie's Angels had gone down so much from Shelley. It would have been so different had they hired Tanya first. Tanya has a natural fluidity plus a Linda Hamilton-esque toughness to her that Shelley never had thus making it hard to believe Shelley could ever kick ass.

Shelley got a bum rap. She was great as Tiffany Welles, despite being "plugged in" to early season 4 scripts that were already written for Sabrina's character. As the season went on and they developed her more, they did some of the best episodes of the series.

CHARLIE's ANGELS (surprisingly!) survived the departure of Farrah. Cheryl Ladd deserves a lot of credit (that I don't think she ever got!) for keeping the show on top. Kate Jackson- not Farrah- was the one who was disruptive on the set. She, reportedly, treated Ladd like crap. It was her abrupt departure- and the lackluster replacements (sorry Shelley Hack and Tanya Roberts!) that lead to the ANGELS downfall. Jaclyn Smith is a class act!!!!
