  • this crossing is actually on deer creek road, but in ivywood,my home town.used to ride with these men.very nice people.the station that burnt down was the bessemers signal department went it went up in flames.

  • @robnjen330 Yeah that was about 25+ years ago now... I'm friends with the folks across the street that have the farm on the corner. He told me about that. Sucks that a lot of gear went to scrap because of that.

  • Very cool dude.

Are you sure this is Butler County, PA. I live between Transfer and Fredonia, PA in Mercer County, PA.

    Thanks again!

  • Yeah, really sure, lol... just down the street from my buddy's farm! First intersection from 228 on Saxonburgh Blvd. Used to have a station here at Ivywood. Burned down about 10 or so years ago.

  • Is that Butler county?

  • Yep...

  • it is ivywood, just south of the US STEEL yard at sSaxonburg.pa. MP17.they wanted to put a restraunt where the old station used to be.i lived 500 feet from this crossing.Bessemer people were very nice.B7LE RR belongs in us history books not canadian.

  • I been in this area so many times.

Its couple miles from Saxonburg PA

    nicknamed Great Bend

  • Nice Nathan P3 on B&LE No.907 Sd40t-3

  • Just to keep things safe, Dave M lives at the farm. But the old station was an arson job. It's a shame too, there was a lot of old signals and equipment in there that got destroyed.

  • Kleetus92, how did the station burn down?
