Lucas and Peyton; high school sweethearts, broke up and now find themselves back in Tree Hill. Lucas is now dating a nice girl, his book editor Lindsay. She's in love with him but so is Peyton, who wants him back all for herself. Her and Lucas sneak around and share a romantic kiss. Lucas wants to be with Lindsay, which means letting go of the girl he once dreamed about wanting to be with forever. So he has to let go of Peyton and everything they once had, even though it's the hardest thing he's ever had to do, he knows it's the right thing for both of them.
