This is the funeral for Eddie Smith 44 years old from Owensboro, Kentucky AUG 18,2002.
Eddie suffered with ailments such as cancer, AIDS,& brain tumors. He became a medical marijuana patient & helped fight for it's legalization in many campaigns across the nation. Eddie wanted his funeral to be his last stand ....so to speak. He & Cher planned it all down to the last details. High Times magazine named him Freedom Fighter of the month the day he passed way. He was so happy. He asked if he could have his ashes put in a bong & we asked the funeral director who said yes! As long as it could be sealed shut. Eddie also wanted his bowl full of some good weed, so we filled it with chronic. It may seem a bit odd putting this up for the world to see , but we are an odd bunch of beautiful sprits on a journey to spread the truth. He wanted it taped & he wanted us to let people see bravery in the face of death. He knew that no matter if you are killed by a cop putting a gun to your head , or if they keep your life saving medicine away from you, it is sill "MURDER". Killed by the hands of our own government. It is with loving memory that I present Funeral For A Freedom Fighter.

I really wish I could have been involved in my younger years - before I was sick and practically useless. I missed a lot of education in this "war"....not knowing what was going on.....It is sad for me.
