Unboxing and connecting my new drive. On the drive itself, there is a virtual CD-ROM drive that contains new SmartWare software. You can set the label with it, encrypt the content of the drive etc. Watch the video.

    i use Acronis insted

  • @toyyou2jp that one is foe pc up to 3tb is silver and works with both mac ,win.

  • dats so cool dat they actually put in a disable vcd setting

  • I have seen WD site that essential edition(with LCD display) can only with MAC, not PC. The PC version has no LCD display.

  • Awesome drive really, WD Smartware is also very nice. But it only saves Music, Docs, Vids etc. I wanted to save my entire OS C: drive installed programs, and D: drive including huge install files. I'd hate to ignore WD Smartware but I might have to

  • @yeseanul This is actually a 32mb cache caviar: tinypic (dot) com/r/11qjrpw/4
