  • super excellent dude! actually played on all three scales to capture the spirit of the song. Guitarists like you are the ones who create great lead lines like Santana and know where those notes come from and why. This is evidenced by Santana himself when he plays live, he plays the spirit, not the note per note transcriptions of his songs.

  • Let me please point out that the title is Black Magic Woman Solo. Many people play solos as they were written, but I think you'll find real experienced artists will tell you that to improvise ones solos is far more creative and artistic than just replaying them note for note - which basically just requires technique.
