  • @fairskin62 im guessing you do not need an incubator.....ive hatched parakeet eggs by putting them in the nest box and putting a heating pad under it.........i also had to turn the eggs several times per day....idk about quail but im sure there is something like that you can do. ALSO, if the eggs are abandoned i have found that it can take up to 12 hours for the embryo to die so you should stop smashing them and look up how to make an incubator like i did.

  • @fairskin62 Unfortunately quail aren't all that smart. It appears that the notion to sit on the nest has been bread out by and large. I'm trying to see if I can get mine to set eggs instead of incubating them.

  • @yoyoongogo

dude if the mom left the nest then they werent warm and died. GET IT! it was already dead

  • u r the meanest person ever you just killed a baby dont you have a heart?

  • I want one, send me an incubator then thankyou!!!

  • Too expensive in Australia to buy incubators

  • You could have just candled the egg. Not destroy it.

  • You should have not destroyed the egg! You could have put it in a incubator!

  • Hi, i have had the same situation for the third time running now. My first clutch hatched but ever since that the quail has been coming off the nest. Recently she did that on about day 16 and the eggs were cold and has now resumed sitting on her eggs, i don't know if the eggs are viable still but it is distressing because i've seen fully formed quail chicks 1 or 2 days short from being born. Do you know how long the eggs should withstand the cold?
