I also winced every time he let the advance lever go. The lens being left pointed up unprotected while he handled the body and baseplate over it, didn't help my heart any either...

The only suggestion on your video is how you handle the film advance. You shouldn't let the film wind spring back into position by flicking the winder through fast. You risk putting dents into your speed dial or scratching up the top plate. You should leave your thumb there after you wind to catch the lever coming back or just wind it slowly. You have a beautiful camera there. Thanks

Thanks for your comment and concern. I have used an M3 since he age of 12 and now at 61 I have probably put a few wear marks on them...Best regards,

My father was Leica Camera repairman and gold plated many. I have a dozen or more various Leica models.
