During the European leg in 1988, Bruce´s relationship with then
back-up singer Patty Scialfa became obvious on stage, and soon in the public media.
Tabloids began reporting that Springsteen and Scialfa were having an affair. In August 1988 Julianne Phillips filed for divorce. The couple divorced the next year, and Springsteen married Scialfa in 1991. They moved to L.A. and eventually had three children, Evan James, Jessica Rae, and Sam Ryan.

I must confess, I have been up close and personal with a mountain lion and I was not fearful. When it comes to love, I just get all scared and tearful. For you Mr. Boss Man, and you only, I think I could muster up enough courage for one little Kiss. I really appreciate the importance of liquid courage, I'm sure a few bottles of wine would help. lol goes without saying.

I caught Bruce on this tour in Detroit. This song was an absolute blast. Of course, Bruce was still w/ his first wife at the time. My friends & I afterward remarked on the obvious chemistry between Patti & Bruce.
