II was a very young fledgling guitarist, but I was so inspired that I went to all the shows I could after that and eventually got to meet and jam with Roy backstage. This clip is a good example of how effortlessly Roy could move between styles, jazz, blues, country, rock. Nothing recorded or taped has even come close to the emotive force and tone he had live, in concert. One critic said that when Roy played,'God was in the house.' Roy inspires me still and may the lord be with him.
