  • Too bad that our current government are trying to take this away.... things that sweden stands for is being ruined by capitatlist bitches... >_>

  • The average swede pays approx. 31 % in income taxes. The top marginal tax rate is 50 %, that's what was meant in the report. They make you think that we all pay 50 % which is wrong. Our taxes are slightly the same as other european country, it's just that our sales taxes are much higher. 25 % is the highest in the world. Averiage EU sales taxes are approx. 19 %.

  • and our tax is about 32% not 50%, thats fucking crazy!!!

  • yes we do have one of the best healtcare in the world BUT the capitalist-right government that rules right now are using our institut "färsäkringskassan" to totally fucking over the people, do some fucking research CNN!!!

  • In the UK people moan about waiting lists but there are private health companies with which you can fork out to pay for your operation immediately. I'm sure it's the same in Sweden.

  • the left needs to stop being such conformist by being liberal or moderate. we are the 99% and we can create a socialist cpuntry if we dont fear the government or using the word socialism. it just means were compassionate.

  • @ElBank2012 Obviously in every system there is a point at which costs must be cut. In government systems you will never know when your life was deemed too expensive for your government. I have several friends in Europe with "untreatable" illnesses because their governments are trying to cut costs. Equality of choices should be the goal. Equality of treatment with a fixed budget means that some people will be shortchanged. It is a mathematical certainty.

  • @ElBank2012 Yes, there is a law saying everyone receives care. No one is turned away and no one dies because of lack of insurance. If you go to the doctor, you receive treatment, even over many years. I don't have to read. I know from personal experience, not from socialist propaganda that the news media produces.

  • @runr100 everyone receives care? even after "obama-care" you had 50 million uninsured who will be forced to pay in order to receive care... you also have vast numbers of excess deaths due to untreated illness as a cause of uninsurance...who do you think is deceived? That being said, diifferent states have different policies, NJ for instance, has quite a large coverage but it still doesn't cover those who don't fall into the categories of Medicaid or Medicare... so pls read up before u speak...

  • @peterinfamilyguy This is really a cultural issue. Americans of European descent have 1.4 babies, on average. Those from Catholic, Muslim, or very poor countries tend to have many more. America is now 1/2 Hispanic. You will see the same in your country soon as your immigrants reproduce. Watch Idiocracy on YouTube (in German, if you can understand) for a good laugh.

  • @ElBank2012 If our system were ineffective, people wouldn't come here. Excellent health care is infinitely expensive. The US develops and tests most of the new pharmaceutical drugs in the world. We perform the most cutting-edge, experimental surgeries and treatments. The information gained is shared with the rest of the world at our expense. Medical advancements are expensive, and they happen at a snail's pace when healthcare is under the control of government.

  • @ElBank2012 Clearly you've not received care in America, because you believe the socialist propaganda. Everyone gets care. This is precisely why it is so expensive! We don't place people on waiting lists; we treat them, even the hippos who smoke and drink. 80% of the health expenses of one city (pop 100,000) were from 8 non-paying people last year. Why are the wealthy in Sweden so desperate to escape the system, and why do they come to the US? Equality at gunpoint will never work.
