Len Lye did things nobody had ever seen before. Given that there was so much happening at the time (the 30s) artisto-visually, this thing makes me rise in appreciation at its purity. The fact that it impacts in 2011 is testament to its endurance. Len Lye is a very special artist. Check out Free Radicals for something even more astonishing.
