Autoline detroit what morons. Australian car prices are roughly double US prices

@dar4b72 I think I might have heard of CODA on Autoline before but can't remember. I looked it up and the company is actually based in California (suprise!) with the parts made in China (another suprise!). It is no more Chinese than anything else we buy, since most cars have a ton of Chinese made parts. CODA is not China-owned. It sounds like its sub-assemblies are made in China and put together here.

@EatmyDust1311 i wasn't talking about the Fit. i'm talking about an entirely unknown company called Coda. Their car, my friend is chinese made, American engineered. search it on Google xP I was very surprised when i read it
-
@dar4b72 The only Chinese car in America is the China-made Canadian market only Honda fit. The engineering is Japanese, not American.
$9 sounds about right for an entry level or temp worker. Not much money, but they are probably just happy to have a job.

@EatmyDust1311 LOL u make valid points my friend. Oh and there is a chinese car selling in america already. most people just don't know it yet. googe first chinese car in america. everything is chinese except the engineers, they're american. it's kinda expensive :S
and as for the wages again, i checked. SOME detroit workers who moves parts around makes $9 an hour with no benefits (health care). others make more though. google it

@dar4b72 For now, most Chinese automakers are perfectly happy not paying for good, original designs and selling thier copies in China. Eventually, they will have enough technology from thier joint-venture partners and enough money to make decent cars and sell them here. When that happens, they will probably take of faster than Hyundai/Kia did. Imagine going to Walmart and picking up a 3 pack of midsize CUVs for $10k!
As for workers, I think the median wage is $34 an hour + benefits
-
@EatmyDust1311 LOL i totally agree with you but i wasn't talking about wages. i was just responding to another comment how the koreans are doing so well. they hired german engineers for their cars, ex a former audi designer Peter shreyer lol
I just think that the chinese car companies need to set up more R&D abroad for creativity instead of just copying, if u get what i'm saying LMAO
as to the wages, if u watched past autolinedetroit videos, unfortunately some Detroit car workers earns $8/ Hr

DAMN YOU CHINA!!! Get your own designs!!!
-
I guess the Chinese are done copying Japanese cars, so now they've moved on to American cars!
-
Curious to see it was a F-150 and not a Volt the Chinese ripped off. Even they know the difference between a good and bad idea!
@dar4b72 If you can convine the American worker to assemble cars for $4 per 8-hour work day, there is no reason you cant pay Chinese prices for cars. The problem is most people would like to make a living wage in the US.
