Mar. 25, 2011: Selden Ring Award Luncheon
A team of Los Angeles Times reporters, led by Ruben Vives and Jeff Gottlieb, will be honored with the 2011 Selden Ring Award for Investigative Reporting. The duo was recognized for "Breach of Faith," which exposed pervasive municipal corruption in the city of Bell, California, and detailed exorbitant compensation packages received by city officials. The Selden Ring Award of $35,000, which has been presented annually for the past 22 years by the USC Annenberg School of Journalism, honors the year's outstanding work in investigative journalism that led to direct results.
