A big, heavy-duty 4x4 is surely the best thing for keeping your little ones safe on the school run - isn't it? We crash one against an MPV to find out.

  • not a fair test, the discovery is like 10yrs older then the espace. how about using a "used" Audi Q7 or Bmw x5/x3.

  • Trust them for picking one of the worst built 4x4's on the road.

  • Lol, someone has uploaded this video to this channel twice.

  • @AudiROCKS 5 years, probably the same price as the espace - you woulden't be able to buy a Q7 for the same price as a same-year espace - It would be an unfair test to test cars you coulden't afford to buy

  • those guys from 5th gear... are...don´t know.. dumb!!!! what's the purpose of this video????

  • @AudiROCKS it is fair.it is much better then against an modern suv because they are build completely different.the frame structure of those old landrovers is very massive whereas the new suv's like audis are more designed and crafted like normal sedans or vans.with a soft frame structure in the front to absorb the impact.so this test is very useful in my opinion.it shows that nobody needs those suv's to feel safe.

hope some can be inspired to buy a normal car instead of such silly big suv's.

  • skip to 1:23 to start the good stuff

  • @rock3tcat well that's a real un educated comment calling people who drive a 4x4 in urban environments idiots... 2 wheel drive may be fine where you live with your claimant and geography..in my part of the country you will be sitting at home all winter and loose work and starv jack ass...

  • they should do it at a faster speed

  • plus the fact...any land rover owner will tell you (like me) you don't have a lot of leg room anyway...that looked about standard for a land rover!

  • @AudiROCKS

No no no, they should have used a "used" lorry or a tank against the Espace...

Why can't people just admit that there's no reason whatsoever to drive a 4x4 in urban enviroments, and the people who do are simply idiots... :D

  • results may very
