There are better stairclimbers with gyroscope than IBOT.

"but maybe a little too far ahead of its time."
No way, it's totally appropriate for its time.

We also get discounts at the movies and we can move ahead of you in amusement park lines.
Have a nice day! :D

What's the matter, Ted? Jealous?
The iBOT has been discontinued. See below.

Y'all should go check the comments to Ted7864's channel. Judging from the reactions there, the above post is pretty tame for him. Wonder how long he'll last on YouTube before he gets booted for his antisocial behavior? What a pathetic child for someone who lists his age as 35.

when was it invented, and how is it used in life?
XxSeliiixX 2 years ago
It was invented several years ago. Uses the same technology as a Segway. It's used the same way any powerchair would be used. Unfortunately, the iBot was discontinued this year. High cost, lack of insurance funding, and little flexibility in customizing for the individual's needs (seating, for instance) killed it. It was a good idea, but maybe a little too far ahead of its time.

what if someone bumps into you while you're in the wheelie thing? that would suck
banjodeluxe 3 years ago 2
If someone bumps into you, the gyros compensate. Someone would have to bump into you awfully hard to knock you over. When you're sitting still in wheelie mode the chair is constantly compensating. If you change you center of gravity, for instance, you won't become unbalanced. Works the same as a Segway.
