  • Great pictures...love the song! I looked up "Time is Tight" by Booker T and the MGs. Seems to be a different song then this one. Any idea? I'd love to have the whole song. Thanks!

  • @somersetdc

Had to substitute the song. Booker T and the MG's were a 1960s group on Stax Records.

  • Excellent photos...like stepping back in time. Great music track, what is it?

  • "Time is Tight" by Booker T. and the MGs. This song was also covered by The Clash on "Black Market Clash."

  • Good video. I forget this is the era of my youth. The fact is the downtowns were busy yet unkept and wearing out. There was no historic considerations to any of it. One building may have a tacky "new" store front while the one next to it was old and beat. In my mind these street scenes are forever cold dirty and wind blown. Thats how I remember it.

  • @N9155E it looks like an Opel Kadett.

  • @somersetdc "Prove it to me" Andre williams and the diplomats of solid sound.

  • who is it that does the song on this video?

  • @metromonthly

So, does Booker T and the MG's do "Show Me What You've Got" or is it another group?--if another group sings this, what's the group's name. I can't find this song "Show Me What You've Got", although I've looked. Thanks!

  • Thank you! I loved the chance to see the city my parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents knew (and loved)....

  • does anyone have an idea what kind of vehicle emerges from the left @ 1min 20sec ??

  • Seems Like A Different World!
