www.ProGuitarShop.com - The T-Rex Alberta Overdrive pedal is a capable little guy in the world of tube screamer clones that just don't measure up. The Alberta Overdrive was built with high quality components with exceptional attention to detail and tonal characteristics. This means all the disadvantages of the original screamer pedals have been ironed out. This means your low end stays intact and you can get more gain and less gain than the traditional design.

The T-Rex Alberta Overdrive goes above and beyond the traditional tube screamer. The Gain turned up produces thick, creamy, sustaining overdrive with just enough of a mid boost to kick you out front but not sound nasally. With humbuckers, the overdrive is still silky smooth without getting muddy or tubby. The low end is tight and dynamic and the Tone control has a very wide range without getting muddy or tinny at the extremes. All in all, if you're looking for a screamer tone that stays true check out the T-Rex Alberta Overdrive pedal.

  • Because if you plug with a long cable, the signal would drop!

The pedals without true bypass would be like a buffer that make the signal still full.

  • To me, they're totally opposite. Alberta sounds like a humpy tube screamer whereas Mudhoney sounds like a warm & fuzzy OD. They're both great, though.

  • Alberta isnt that great

  • @acdcgnrledzepp transistor amp doesnt make justice for this pedal

  • Really Bluesy pedal...great!

  • TC Vintage Overdrive has the same pcb design.

  • how does the buffer on this pedal compare to boss buffers? i picked up a made in taiwan os-2 thinking that its buffer wouldn't mess with my clean tone, but it compressed it and made it more midrangey.

  • very great tone , the tone i was looking for , using a transistor fender amp , i think i'll buy this one

  • I dunno what does that footswitch look like? Looks like a 3PD to me.

  • @peppedeleo Of course!

  • @Kairou57 It is amazing to run into a overdriven amp.

And all overdrivepedals can do it, some sound better then other..
