With humbuckers, the overdrive is still silky smooth without getting muddy or tubby. The low end is tight and dynamic and the Tone control has a very wide range without getting muddy or tinny at the extremes. The pedals without true bypass would be like a buffer that make the signal still full.

To me, they're totally opposite. Alberta sounds like a humpy tube screamer whereas Mudhoney sounds like a warm & fuzzy OD. They're both great, though.

how does the buffer on this pedal compare to boss buffers? i picked up a made in taiwan os-2 thinking that its buffer wouldn't mess with my clean tone, but it compressed it and made it more midrangey.
