Featuring the acclaimed artist Purvis Young who was born, lived and died in Overtown Miami. The self taught artist is world renowned and his pieces can be seen all over the world, from the Smithsonian to the New Orleans Museum of art. The art he paints is the portrait of his community, Overtown Miami and the trials and tribulations that went on throughout history. He is known as the Picasso of our generation. The official Purvis Young Museum is located in Ft. Lauderdale Florida which holds one of the largest collections of Purvis Young's works. For more information visit:
