http://www.eurocarnews.com - Volkswagen AG -The seventh generation Passat emphatically continues this trend. A completely new styling configuration was created; its front-end styling follows that of the Phaeton which was restyled mid-year. It simultaneously guides the Passat's independent design into the future. Without leaving the mid-class in terms of pricing, the Passat approaches the top segments even more powerfully with its upgraded comfort, convenience, quality and safety properties as well as in its assistance systems

@TheSchnieSchnie Actually GM did not recover at all. There were no chages to the initial problems. What took them down is the over priced labor, medical and pension burdens. That did not go away and will be back not too long after the next Presidential election.

@Magicfrog1963 ups, sorry for my comment to you, now I see that you have simply commented TheOne8492's comment. Sorry for beeing rude to you, should you be in Germany the next time let me know and we make a tour in a Passat over the A5 (up to 5 lanes, no speed limit :-)

@TheSchnieSchnie Hm, might have not stated I'm actually not from the US and am NOT promoting buying US cars at all. Just wanting TheOne8492 to not stick to them either..
But, rereading my post, I can now see that that is not that obvious. I have a VW myself ('88 T3) and will sadly be parting from it.
I'd love to have the Passat..

@Magicfrog1963 and not that the american car industry did neccessarily well over the past three years, didn't they? It is frightening that obviously lots of people in your country think the way you do, but most of them never had a passport and traveled the world, they have their own little Texas way of thinking that goes from one cattle fence to another. I'm honestly sorry for beeing rude in what I'm writing here, but your comment raised my bloodpressure... :-)
