President Obama has decided to send more than 30,000 extra troops to Afghanistan, at a cost of more than $100 billion/year. But America cannot afford a war that does not make us safer, and Congress has the power to stop the escalation. Vote NO on any spending bill that would send more troops to Afghanistan."

@jt55106 Perhaps they joined because they wanted to? I know many wealthy friends who have joined the army, don't think that all soldiers are poor, because that is just rediculous. Many people who are poor are immigrants wanting to gain their citizenship in America, because there are actual possibilities for them. Many wealthy people want to support the American army, and are interested in combat, or tactical formations, anything like that.

To be clear, I personally believe that the war should end because we have no clear way of "wining" and repeating the Vietnam War today. But I find it so funny, but scary, that women of the Afgan Women's Mission are for the withdrawal of the US forces. Don't they know what would revert to the 80s and 90s again overnight? I do however believe that veterans have every right to protest since they are the ones who served and they deserve to be heard. I dont want to fight with anybody, peace
