  • Spent three hours learning this from a final disc about 30 years ago to impress my two young sons. Thirty years later they get me to do it as a party trick for their children. Sorry I learnt it!

  • Bloody brilliant. This is one of the cleverest pop songs ever made. I can't imagine something like this making the charts now. Thanks for posting.

  • Somewhere in 1 of my record boxes I have this on see thry blue vinyl -- was only available as a 12"

  • @sammyhill69 Thanks a lot, you don't know how much I appreciate your answer.

I have been playing records with this sample for 13 years now...and now the meaning, wow.

    Thank you.

  • @AnasTangi - 'Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu'. This is the name of a place in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. It is in the Maori language and means the summit of a hill where a man called 'Tamatea', with the big knees, the climber of mountains, who travelled the land, played the flute to his loved one. This is the second longest place name in the World. I have had the privilege of visiting that place too :)

  • 5 live brought me here

  • FUCKING AWESOMEXD

  • I know it's a tough question, but any chance that someone know what meaning of the lyrics at the beginning???

  • I remember spending 2 hours learning the "words' to the gobbledegook part for my children when they were young. Boy ! were they impressed. So much harder to impress them now.

  • that must've took a bloomin long time to crack the first bit!
