Nearly thirty percent of Haiti's economy is based on remittances from family members who have left for a better economic life, including many of whom now live in the United States.
But as the US economic crisis leaves many people without work, fewer Haitians are able to send money back home.

As one may know that Most of Haitians back in Haiti rely on their relatives over here to do something, so there is no need to see those people complaining on T.V about misery. It's disturbing...

This comes as no surprise. I think it would be more interesting to see the reaction of Haitians in Haiti though.
