My car just started making noise like this while braking, had new brake pads put on one month ago and now it's making noise.

Sounds to me like a stuck caliper pin... Have you check them ? Do they move freely ?

I took my car to the shop, after test driving for the first 10 seconds right away I was told it was a warped rotor... I hope that's all. Please follow-up with what was done to remedy your problem.

I actually do have the same problem. What I did was to go back to the place where I got the rotors and pads and got them replaced. The noise is completely gone now... You should definitely get the rotors checked
