That's a false choice. We need energy independence AND renewable clean energy. It's not about "the spotted owl." It's ot even about Earth. It's about my child not getting athsma when he goes outside and being able to drink from the tap. How much pollution are you willing to put up with? When is it too much? When you get cancer?

No but instead congress want's to instill a windfall tax on oil companies or at least repeal the exploratory tax incentive. This just pushes oil companies to foreign lands where their governments profit hugely from them. They then can afford to give billions to grow their communist causes or they can buy weapons to use against us.
