So, where do they go with all the batteries that need replacing! outerspace or something? That's definatley not better for the enviornment. The Prius is PUREius junk!

What do you mean "all the batteries that need replacing"? The majority of batteries will last the life of the car. More of the Prius is recyclable than a large number of it's peers.

@hopala007 Are you retarded? The technology that goes into a BMW or a Merchedes is far superior to that of Toyota.  BMW's with diesel engines will get better gas mileage then any prius on the road today. Plus they are more environmentally friendly. More aerodynamic, the tires don't wear out as quick as the prius does. Do some research before you make dumb claims.

Also, People who think you can recycle a lithium ion battery must never have recycled one themselves. Just because you dispose of it doesn't mean it can be reused. I'll stick to driving my fuel efficient V8 and see your Prius in the dust.

What are you smoking? In order to make a prius and the batteries it does more damage to the environment then say to make a HUMMER. The hummer is fully recyclable. The same can not be said for the prius. The batteries are highly toxic and are very damaging to the environment to produce. Just ask people in Canada where the nickle is mined for those batteries.

Well, to the few of you who make fun of John, bravo to the two of you. Really. It's just a car. You hate a car? No. You hate the idea of the car, because you know the Hybrid concept is taking off. I don't want carbon credits

Carbon Credits won't help us to get rid of foreign oil dependency.

My Prius runs on Ethanol, big oil and the middle east won't get my money.

Next project is a plug-in conversion.

Hope to get 25 miles in ev mode.
