I have worked with sex offenders and it is like an incurable disease - they are also incredibly clever - People who perpetrate these sorts of crimes generally show no remorse for the pain and suffering they cause vulnerable children. Better intelligence is needed and the bastards need to be well and truly rooted out and as for God - look at the disgraceful behaviour of Catholic priests.

@Brutalinax You're obviously intelligent (sorry to condescend) but why should these people be put in a prison, sometimes for a long, long time, and be subsidised to do so by your goodself?? I am not in favour for the death penalty for anybody except those that abuse kids. As I said before, the majority of these people do not feel (deep down) that what they do is wrong - they revel in the fear of the kids they abuse - Read 'Nobody Came' by Robbie Garner, Haute de La Garenne survivor.

You call the things that I talk about "politically correct", which means that you must to some extend be aware of how biased you are. You seem to be confused about my intentions though. @Brutalinax I may have a 'extremely childish notion of justice' when it comes to child abusers because I worked for 4 years alongside some of the worst - you cannot rehabilitate in most cases. If I have a 'childish notion of justice' about these people then I make no apologies. Good luck with your 'Bachelors' although a degree does not entitle you to automatic kudos - you need some proper life experience before you can start preaching such politically correct shite.

I have sat back and watched people's lives go to complete shit because of things that happened to them as kids and then to watch these 'people' have absolutely no remorse for the pain, suffering and havoc they wreak?? @Brutalinax Yawn - Read my original comment - I have no time for pussy-footing around this issue and I certainly have no time for idiots preaching religion - which, at worst, causes unhealthy repression and, at best, gives people support when they can't get it anywhere else. Personally I wouldn't 'waste' public money on attempting to rehabilitate these individuals - maybe a 'humane' death would be the best way if that doesn't offend your pathetic little sensibilities :)
