KNG TV: A Kachin Church holds 'Centenary Jubilee' on American Baptist mission

February 3, 1909-February 3, 2009: The celebrations on 100th anniversary of American Baptist mission were held in Wing Hkam (Win Hkam) Kachin Baptist church in Lweje also called Loije in Kachin in Bhamo district in Kachin in Burma on December 30-31, 2008. The actual anniversary day will be fallen on February 3, 2009 but the celebrations were held two months earlier. An American Baptist missionary Rev. Dr. H. J. Robert and Rev. Damau Naw of Bhamo in Burma were the first missionaries to Wing Hkam village.
