The school in the background (behind the motorcylces) is in Tambis I. Some of the students from Guinsaugon went to that school. They heard a loud thunder type sound and when they went outside, the whole village was gone. All their families buried alive. Very few survived. It is not "also called St. Bernard". St. Bernard is about 2 km down the road. It's just the only town of any size around there. I have cousins living in Tambis I, and working at that school. I've been there many times.
I remember that landslide. Not many things in my life has brought tears to my eyes but that day, I cried. Thanks for sharing so that we may never forget.
