When this old generation of Pentecost is in the ground the church will NEVER be the same!! I grew up in the UPCI from the age of 11 and now nearly 60 and so I know what I am testafying about here: It just ain't like it used to be folks!! Oh yes, the Holy Ghost is the same, but the worship has strangely changed. Anyone over 50 will agree with me and the youth will say that I'm crazy....

When I was young and visited my grandmother in Tioga,La. used to hear their radio program. You are right things are changing and not for the better. Love this REAL music and worship.

I have been so blessed by finding this site. Oh, how wonderful this has been. My Momma was so much like Sis. Mangun! How blessed we are to have had this heritage!! What I want to know is where is your church? And is the church still the same? If the Lord is still there I'd be tempted to come there on vacation!!!

@zestymike48 Yep, I can testify to that truth! Now they use a lot of smoke and mirrors (strobe lights) and its as though they have created a worldly concert atmosphere. Its almost as though the world is sneaking through the very fabric of the Church, it seems as though the music has become rock and roll like, or bambastic screaming called worship.
