Just decided to finally get to the bottom with the N64 analogue stick problem

Skip to 4:30 if you just wanna see what basically fixes the main problem with the stick wobbling and not feeling smooth.

This can basically make the analogue stick feel like it is with a new controller pretty much, smooth and sharp turning.

I tested one of these fixed controllers on a Goldeneye speedrun on the Egyptian level on agent, got 46 (1sec off wr) in about 20mins.

  • im thinking replace the wire with a tiny o-ring

  • @castlecatcher some more soft material is probably best, but I haven't tried with a ring so it could work

  • mines very wobley will this help

  • @21dill

yes but it might not become perfect if it's very wobley, this should still make it alot smoother though, I did once fix a really wobley stick but to get it to feel like almost new I had to replace a couple parts. Those small black things that you see at around 3:35 were the ones I had to replace because they were so worn out.

  • did you use Vaseline or something?

  • @mask110
